Not a good night

So our little guy didn't have his best night. We noticed yesterday that his oxygen was getting lower, into the low 90's and his breathing seemed labored. The nurses didn't make much of it at the time, but as the night went on I think it must have gotten much worse. The drs decided to put in a chest tube to drain the fluid building up on his lungs, which is what was causing the labored breathing and his oxygen rate to drop. They also gave him the same stuff adults use before a colonoscopy to try to produce a bowel movement. He produced very little and they are still concerned he isn't having bowel movements. I believe it is Sunday and if many of you get this before church, I am pleading that you ask your churches to pray for our son. Right now, everything he is doing is fixable, but they are having to be most aggressive at fixing it. That seems to be his personality. You have to be aggressive at your tatics to get him to change. It's all or nothing for this little guy! I guess here are our prayer needs:

• that he begins to improve and not go backwards
• that his heart rate and blood pressure will balance and he can be taken off the high blood pressure medicine
• that the fluid comes off his lungs and stays off
• that he will eventually pass all the bowels he has in his system, sooner rather than later
• that his breathing stabilizes and his oxgygen stays up

All these things are connected in some form or fashion but they all have to happen in order for him to come out of CICU.

On top of this, we are still in the bonding process with this little guy and we want him to trust us and we want to hold him, but all that is very hard in this current situation. So please pray that the Lord will protect his mind from these events and that trust will be established despite all these setbacks.

The Lord is still on his throne and knows exactly what is going on and why this is happening!
