This is Gracie's little buddy, Ty. He absolutely loves her and she got to babysit him tonight! I think she must have done a pretty good job as he was very happy when we came back from getting coffee with his parents!
I've just spent the last 20 minutes 'catching up'! I'm SO HAPPY to see things are going well. I love seeing you all together and glad to hear the bonding is going relatively well. I think you're doing a wonderful job!!! Your meeting John where he's at, helping and allowing him to grieve, all the while showing him comfort and love. If things go anything like it did with Sophie...there were small steps in China, but once we got home...and the normal routine developed, big strides were made. You know I'm praying for your mamas heart...for John Asher...for you all. Stay strong...feeling normal again will come.
Your 'Little Child" post was so tremedously touching. It brought me back to our time in Sophie's province and when we visited her finding place. I remember praying during our time, walking the streets, that someone...ideally her birth mother would see her...would see us, and gain peace in knowing Sophie would be OK. We know all too well that ANYTHING is possible with God:-).
Thanks so much for sharing your journey. Praying the remainder of your time there continues to go smooth and that John's ear infection gets better soon.

Good job, Gracie! Maybe one day you and my Grace can go back to China together!
