Home is within our reach!

So close, so very, very close! Dr. Kogan came by and said he looks good, looks very good. Overnight his chest tube quite draining and it was removed this morning. Praise the Lord for that answered prayer request! He did very well with that and his oxygen and heart rate all look great! John Asher will have a chest x-ray done in the wee hours of the morning and if no fluid accumulated, he will be discharged tomorrow! Woo hoo!

John Asher ate a good bit of the noodles in Chicken Noodle Soup. He also drank a little more for me today, Gatorade of all things! Can someone please tell this boy that Bulldawgs don't drink things made by Gators! J Even so, that is still an answer to prayer! He doesn't want a bottle at all, only sippy cups for my little guy. He will still come home on a feeding tube (NG tube) since he is not eating and drinking enough to supply his body with what he needs. He will also receive some Feeding therapy. Anyone know a good Speech Therapist that specializes in feeding?

He has been in the best mood all day, playing, laughing and kicking all day. I haven't seen him this happy in, well, ever! It has done this mommy's hear a world of good. Jeremiah and my other 3 precious children are driving over here tonight and we will be staying with a sweet new friend that offered her home to us. Tomorrow, we will spend the morning with John Asher in his room and hopefully begin the discharge process! Tthe kids are looking forward to seeing their baby brother leave the hospital and drive home with them, together at last!
