Leaving On A Jet Plane....

We traveled for a total of 23 hours today! I can honestly say we are exhausted!

Once we got settled into the International Terminal and we were waiting to board our plane, I had an overwhelming wave of emotion come over me! All these years of dreaming of this journey, what our child would look like, his home country I’ve learned so much about, the maps, the places – it was all going to be realized! The thought of holding him in my arms was never more real than this moment. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD! Yes he does, and thankfully we’re about to see them come true!

Our plane is huge! Eli saw it and said “Wow! Look at that BIG airpane”! I said, “Yes, you’re going to be getting on that airpane”. Then Eli said “No, I think I’ll wait for the whittle pane”. However, there were no tears getting on the plane and as soon as it took off, he was fast asleep!

The kids all did fabulous – better than I even imagined. They loved their surprises in their book bags, Thank you Nana and Mrs. Pam! They even slept some, although Gracie slept the least. Tokyo was interesting and expensive. A McDonald’s hamburger in the airport was almost $8.00! They must think more highly of McDonalds than we do.

The morning we took off, as we drove to the airport I was praying over our trip and asked that the Lord just be all over it and all in it! I don’t want to miss seeing HIM show up, even in communist China! Two precious friends prayed with me over the phone before we left and one prayed a very similar pray as I did earlier that morning. So I know God is going to show up – big time – here in China! I can’t wait for you to see Him here either!
