All Grown Up

It has been a busy day, a whirlwind of activities. Early this morning we had family pictures taken outside in a beautiful North Georgia area. We took daddy home and it was on to church to get ready for our annual co-op family day. Then I took the kids to Chick fil A for lunch to fulfill my bribe of milkshakes for anyone who smiled and behaved during pictures. (I know, my Mom of the Year award is in the mail!). After that I took my five year old to get her hair cut. Then it was onto home to get our dinner ready to bring this evening for the family share time. The girls sang and the art students I taught had their artwork displayed. All in all it was a wonderful day.
Speaking of hair cuts, Gracie has been asking for some time now to get her hair cut. Her father promised her that after we had family pictures made she could cut it. It has grown quite long (see above picture) so at this point I told her we could cut it and donate it to Locks of Love. So we took off to the salon without telling daddy and Mr. William gave her the most precious hair cut! She went in a five year old, came out looking like she was ten! Her daddy cried when he saw it, his little girl had grown up. But she looks precious and is so proud she is donating her hair to kids that could use it.

The haircut is ADORABLE!! You're right- it does make her look older, but it is probably a nice change for summer. Besides- what a nice lesson about giving to learn at such an early age!!
