Dad to child: Don't eat that! Child in dazed response: Dad, it's just the crusty. I can't seem to get across the idea of germs to my three year old. She insists that eating what comes out of her nose is not only necessary but harmless! How many times do we just get a taste of the outside only to have it allow us to be influenced on the inside?
