Review Room

Well Friends, our documents are out of the review room! Hallelujiah! Of course I never actually broke a sweat but it has been on my mind for the past month or so! This posted on the CCAA website: The CCAA has finished the review of the adoption application documents registered with our office before October 31, 2006. Our LID is October 27 so that is the date our documents were registered. Next we are moved into the matching room, where we may sit for a very long time. That is the news overseas, now for news on the home front. Our adoption agency emailed us to let us know it is time to refile for our I 797. This is the paper work that allows us to travel to China to adopt and bring home our baby. This paperwork has an expiration of 18 months so if we do not travel within the next 18 months we may have to refile again. The good news is that the first time to refile is free, except for the home study update. So what does refiling entail: a home study update where the social worker comes out to our home to conduct a review, getting our fingerprints again and filing some paperwork with the USCIS. Lots of paper work involved in bringing this precious one home. Speaking of precious, I get to spend time with a little baby adopted from China, one I prayed for over many, many months. And she is just the most precious little baby, beautiful, sweet spirited and she loves Eli. She loves me for having Eli!!! But seriously, being around her makes my heart yearn for my little one that is not yet here, but at the same time pacifies me for a little while. Thank you little love!
