Before John Asher we were familar with Ronald McDonald Charities but we really didn't understand the wonderful way they support families with children in Intensive Care situations. They feed you, they provide you with a home away from home so that the family can be together and a support system develops from sharing your experiences with other families in the home.
For almost five weeks it was our home away from home, a place where we could be together as a family while we also loved on John Asher during his recovery. And it was time to give back.

We began baking at home...
and continued at the RMH kitchen
and before we knew it, a beautiful spread was prepared to feed those who are away from the comforts of home seeking treatment for their most precious treasures.
What an honor it was for us to cook and serve, for our family to minister, love on and show others we care and that in many cases, we've walked in their shoes and know the miles they travel. We prayed for each one and vowed to do this again!

Robyn, we benefitted greatly from the RMH in Philly this past year, and hope to be staying in another RMH next week in Birmingham. I love that your family did this--down the road I hope we can do something like that as well to give back. It really is a wonderful facility.
